January 12th, 2017 - Improving the Supply Chain Quality Signature
Aaron Lamb of Pratt & Whitney will discuss where Pratt & Whitney has focused on improving the Supply Chain Quality Signature in areas such as first article inspections, production part approval, and audits that supports a high growth Business Plan.
Aaron is the newly appointed Quality executive supporting all Military Engine (ME) Programs. Aaron will be partnering with the Military Engine Program Offices, Engineering and Operations to ensure a focused commitment to quality within all development, existing and legacy engine programs. He ensures quality plans support execution of the programs, and works with the leaders of the Operations, Engineering, Global Supply Chain and Product Delivery Centers to drive execution. Aaron will be the primary member of the ME Senior Leadership Team to guide the resolution of all quality-related decisions and issues to improve the overall quality signature. Aaron’s previous role was Deputy Director, Supplier Quality where he managed the supplier quality team to ensure product quality and system compliance was maintained throughout the P&W supply chain. This diverse position had 8 sub-groups with managers to support the supply chain commodity teams, global logistics teams and new product introduction/transitions team. Aaron oversaw continuous improvement activities such as process certification, UPPAP and non-conformance reductions, as well as escape management investigations to ensure improved supply chain performance and delivered products met all quality specifications. Over his 19+ year career, Aaron has held roles of increasing responsibility at Pratt & Whitney in Operations and Engineering in Product Line Management, Operations & Supplier Quality, and Test Engineering. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Hartford. He enjoys spending time with his family as he and his wife Jessica of 10+ years chases their three sons of 7, 5, and 2 years old.
