Managing Quality Delivery through Improved Cybersecurity Practices, 09/14/2017
Information Security is often seen as a measure of counter-offensives against a persistent threat. But in this presentation, Carlos Branco, will review the proactive side of cybersecurity that eliminates the threat through constant quality management. When security vulnerabilities are seen as defects of the development process, then security weaknesses are remedied before seeing the light of day.
With over 2 decades of experience in IT Security, Carlos has had the opportunity of
working in a wide variety of industries to solve their specific cybersecurity
challenges. From finance, to healthcare; from regional utilities to multinational
companies; Carlos has worked as a security advocate in a variety of roles that run
the gamut from managing large departments – to more tactical roles, in which he’s
developed innovative solutions to address organizational cybersecurity risk. Carlos
is President Emeritus of the CT Chapter of the Information Systems Security
Association (ISSA), and contributing author to NIST’s Cybersecurity Standards for
Smart Grid. Carlos Branco is also a frequent public speaker on IT Security topics.
