Cyber Security - CONNSTEP

Abstract:

Cybersecurity threats exploit the increased complexity and connectivity of critical infrastructure systems. Similar to financial and reputational risks, cybersecurity risk affects a company’s bottom line. Cybersecurity should be an important component of an organization’s overall risk management. We will briefly discuss increasing cyber resilience through a risk management framework. Additionally, we will describe a three-step approach to assessing information systems against the security requirements in NIST SP 800-171 and working toward the demonstration of compliance to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) cybersecurity clause.
