Ed Brey has been the manager of green products at Collins Aerospace, a United Technologies Company for 10 years. In his current role, he the focal for Sustainability which includes Materials of Concern (MoC) and EU REACh compliance in product designs. Prior to his current role, Ed spent 35 years in various managerial roles including aftermarket and regulatory airworthiness in quality. He holds a bachelors degree in management from Lesley University and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).  


REACh and Materials of Concern at Collins Aerospace

The management of Materials of Concern and EU REACh in our product designs and legacy parts will be described. The identification of a common set of MoCs and requirements which span across all regulations and customer requirements is the desired state. One company wide collection process and common database is needed to support current and future regulations
